Customer Balance is USD only, and that cannot be changed.
How it works
Buyers log into their account on your shop and use Balance > Top Up. The top up is a purchase like any other, paid with whichever of your payment methods you allow, and it credits their balance. At checkout, the balance appears as its own payment button. You can also add balance manually from the Customers page with Add Balance, which is how most sellers compensate a buyer for a problem order.Purchases paid from Customer Balance do not count toward your revenue statistics, while the top up that funded them does. Counting both would count the same money twice.
Settings
Top Up Amounts. Preset buttons on the top up page, defaulting to 10, 25 and 50. Add or remove as many as you like. Presets tend to convert better than an empty amount field, since the buyer has a smaller decision to make. Minimum and Maximum Amount. The range a single top up must fall within, defaulting to 1 and 1000. Every preset has to sit inside that range. A minimum prevents top ups so small that processing fees cost more than the top up is worth. Custom Amount. Lets buyers type their own figure within that range. With it off, they can only pick a preset. Disabled Payment Methods For Top Up. Blocks specific methods from funding a top up. It is mainly used to exclude reversible or manually verified methods, so a disputable payment cannot be converted into spendable balance. Friends & Family and custom methods are the common exclusions. Force Discord Login. Requires a Discord login before topping up. Useful if your community runs on Discord and you want balances tied to identifiable accounts. Before enabling it
Decide how top ups can be funded. A balance funded by a payment you cannot verify is a balance you may have to write off, so disable the riskier methods. Decide how refunds are handled. Refunding to balance keeps the money with you and usually settles the ticket faster. See Refunds. Be aware that balances can go negative. Reversing cashback or an affiliate commission that has already been spent takes the balance below zero, and it settles against the next purchase.Next steps
